Quite disturbing really. Although we'll never know the facts per se, it all being 'in house', some acute perception from Devine leading one to be suspicious about Blanche. To be completely honest, after reading this article, I felt disgust for this woman, and a real and genuine empathy for Hazel, not lease because Hazel seemed to stand for something other than self promotion. She was also, as Blanche admits, down-to-earth. Something I don't attribute to Blanche, who incidentally looks like she's had one too many surgeries. Bob Hawke is just WHIPPED.
Blanche looks like an ageing tart but that's not the point. The point is her convenient and self-serving writing of Hazel out of the story of Bob's life, which is just disrespectful.
