Morocco

Tangier

Somewhat grungy and dodgy, Tangier is no longer the happening town it was during the Interzone years. Its port was very quiet apart from the endless ferries arriving from Spain. But if you want drugs, you don't need to find them - they will find you. Tim was told he was a "good boy" on one occasion when he rejected a drug dealer (Morocco is probably not the best place to investigate prison conditions).

Chef Chaouen

Apart from unrelenting torrential rain, which meant no water for 2 days, this was a really pretty little mountain town. There wasn't much to do apart from walk around, take photos and drink mint tea. I wonder if they deliberately painted their Medina blue as a tourist attraction?

Meknes

Meknes is where we met up with my brother!

Fes

Fes was absolutely my favourite city in Morocco. This would be the only place I would come back to see again. Well not to much to "see", as "shop". How I wish I had money and luggage space! On the other hand maybe it's a good thing I didn't, because it would be easy to go overboard and end up with your house looking like some sort of Persian palace.

Marrakesh

Actually I don't know what the fuss is all about here, I found this city to be extremely touristy, and not particularly interesting. It's worth a day of sightseeing, and that's about it.
