Tracks buckle and so does rail system
Ok I stole that title out of The Age. But seriously, why is it so hard to run a decent metropolitan train system in Melbourne? Hundreds of cities around the world are able to do it. But not us. The Minister blames Connex, Connex blames the Minister. Maybe the boogie man is responsible.

it IS pathetic. this country needs better engineers and focus on public services. the lack of culpability highlights the pitfalls of private and public "partnership". (ie. what partnership?) public services shoudl not be privatised. when they are, this is an indication of a failure of state. that is something to be ashamed of.
